Description:
Enhanced Aquifer Recovery (EAR) conveys stormwater runoff, wastewater or other source water into the subsurface for storage, potential reuse, and augment water supplies. The potential impacts to groundwater quality from the use of EAR are poorly understood. This presentation will inform participants of issues that may arise, and the characterization needed to understand any potential changes to groundwater quality and quantity. The presentation will also inform participants of needed monitoring for successful EAR/MAR implementation and long-term performance needs.
